Kristina’s editor picked her out of the group of many skilled interviewers, and reporters for this article. Why? You relate to her and our readers will be looking for that she said to her. Kristina had to prepare herself, an interview where she was the interviewer, not to mention the girl in question was younger then her, and managed to land a good job in the Ministry way before school was over. She sent an owl to the girl Neveah Binks, her editor had already found her address, and a few other details as well. Kristina vaguely remembered her from classes. The quiet red hed that seemed as crazy as Serenity at the time.
Kristina of course had changed herself since she left the school. The twins where with the Smyths, they were so sweet and handled them so well. It was a strange adjustment for them to see how fast they were growing but it was good all the same. Kristina set up the meeting at the dinner that was across the street from the Ministry of Magic, a muggle place was perhaps not the best place, however muggles tended to see many strange people in those parts.
The red headed much older looking Kristina had her hair tied in a loose pony tail, it flowed into curls behind her. A black collared jacket over her purple blouse and some nice black dress pants she looked sophisticated, much different then her Hogwarts days, however she did not dress like a 17 year old girl, even if that was her age.
A paper with questions on it, she had some her editor wanted answers on and others she felt that her readers would want to know. It was going to be hard to write an article instead of advice, but she was sure to get plenty out of the experience. Just water in front of her as she waited silently for her fellow classmate now working professional.

Nevaeh was in the middle of going over the crime scene when she got an owl from Kristina about an interview. She read the letter and agreed to meet Kristina. Nevaeh walked back to her office, and put her things back on her wood desk that was made of real trees. She was in a simple yellow sun dress, with white flip-flops, and her black ministry robe on, she took off her robe, and walked over to the lift and took it out from the vistiors entrance, and walked out to the muggle district.
She looked like a normal teenager, on summer vacation, going to meet a friend across the street. She smiled and walked into the place where she was to meet Kristina. She seen her and walked over to the table, and smiled at her. "Kristina Riddle" she asked politely. "I'm Nevaeh Binks" she said and took a seat across from the red-headed girl. She held out her hand.
Her red hair bounched around her face, and her curls made her hair look short. A waiter came and asked what she wanted to drink and she just wanted water. "Well im here ask away" she said with a smile on her face.

Kristina smiled, “Well it is nice to meet you.” She felt like a fraud sitting across from her, what was she doing interviewing her? “Well, okay. I guess the simple and kinda optional things first. Would you object to having your age in print? I do have to ask because you are under 17 correct?” she said following the rules of being a reporter, and interviewing someone at the Ministry is not something you want to be wrong about, no matter who they are.
(ooc)I foresee some shorter posts in this thread but it would be nice change, more dialog type of deal i guess?

Nevaeh smiled and said "Yes i am under 17, im only 13 going on 14, and no i dont mind my age in the paper. You have my full attention, and my answers to the best of my ablitly, the only thing i was asked not to talk about the Ministers death." she said with a smile on her face. "So you may ask anything" she said and smiled at kris.
((ok thats fine))

Kristina was surprised, but only just. She knew about her defeat of Flamjelous, even if she kept herself out of it all. Kristina did not concern herself with the questions on the Minister, even if her editor had added some in there, “Understandable.” She said without pressing the issue at all. “It is really about you and your leap into work and leaving school. So why is it that you made the decision to leave school, and what made you decided to work at the Ministry?” Kristina had so many questions but she had to be patient, and not bomb bound her with questions. She was lucky that she had a great memory, and did not feel she needed to take notes, regardless she had a pen and paper ready if she felt she should write something down. And exact quote.

Nevaeh smiled and looked at Kris. "Well" she said taking her time to answer the questions. "I left school, because i really didn't belong there in the first place" she said and took a deep breath "I felt that even though i am muggle born, i have a bigger role in all of this other then just being the 13 year old who defeted Flamjelous. My gifts, not powers but gifts have aloud me to become an outsider and know what its like to be apart of something bigger and better then what is just going on around me" she said with a smile on her face. "The ministry may not have been the best place to start, but i think that it was the need to help others that drove me to become part of the ministry" she said and took a drink of water and waited for more questions.

Kristina took mental notes so far, she was impressed with the level of maturity Neveha had, because she sure was one immature girl at her age, the only reason she even grew up was likely because she has the twins. That however is not a path that she suggested to anyone, planned or not. Even though her closest friend and almost sister had children very young herself. However this was all too much thinking about her own life she was there for Neveah.
“Well then, seems like you have a good hold on yourself. Are you comfortable talking about Flamejelous and what happened?” Kristina did not want to puss the issue, maybe that was why she was not a regular reporter, pressing questions to get the story was not her goal, in fact she wanted to gain a little friendship out of this meeting, god knows she needs the friends.

Nevaeh smiled at Kris and took a sip of her water, and said "Im fine talking about it." she placed her glass on the table infront of her, and placed both hands infront of her. 'You can talk about it, if you cant answer it i can remember we are a team.' Her sprite said to her, and she smiled and nodded. "Well what do you want to know about that epic battle" she asked quietly.

Kristina did smile, “Okay, and if I ask you something you don’t want to answer I won’t be offended, and feel free to let me know that.” She said looking over her list that her editor gave her, she reworded the questions a little. “Well we have heard just about every other side of things except from the one person who can tell it the correct way. However I think rather what happened in a play by play is not what is really on everyone’s mind. What is however is how you felt before walking into the battle, did you know that you where going to win?” she asked having so many different questions asking the same end answer she found this the best of them.

Nevaeh thought about it and took a drink of her water, and then placed her water on the table and said "Hmm" she thought for a moment. "Well i really dont know what i was feeling, i know i was scared, and neverous, but i never thought i would win not in a million years" she said. "It was a you have to be there to see it, but Jack made sure that it wasn't where most people could just wonder up and watch so that they couldn't get hurt. The people that were there, and they did help as much as they could, but in the end their power wasn't enough, it had to come from the heart to win." she said to her, and sighed. "And well he nearly killed me, but im a live and well thanks to the nurses at St Mungos, and of course Adam Cavern" She said remembering. "As to what really happened it was a close fight even with what little help i had, but most of the others were working to protect me from his little minions that he had, that kept attacking me and i couldn't defend myself from all sides." she said to her. What killed him and his minions was an earthquake, that would place an entire city underwater and separate land from land, and a rock slide, and and someone was helping with water, but still havent figured it out, and it helped create a type of mud that created a coffin." she said. then it hit her. "Oh my, can i borrow your Quill" she said and took a napkin. A thought just ran through her head, and took her quill, and wrote it down, and stuffed it in her pocket. "thank you very much" she said with a smile. "But back to the topic." she said with a smile. "It was at the moment when i could create a different type of mud that i hadn't seen before, was the moment that i knew that i would win." she said to her.

Kristina took mental notes again. She still had her concerns with what ever magic that Shadow fellow had preformed, however her memory was top notch from it and she had done well to protect herself from bad charm work. With that all in her mind she listened to Neveah tell her story. It was brief but to the point. When she suddenly wrote something down and tucked it away Kristina wanted to ask but felt that staying on topic was better. Besides interviewing was not really her thing as she had to ask another question.
“Wow.” Kristina said to her, she knew Jack would set it up and she wanted to ask more about it but this interview was more about current changes not past ones. “Okay, well we can move on a bit I guess. You said you never belonged at the school? I know I never fit in myself there, but I am sure you had different reasons then me. Why did you feel like you could not fit in, and learn like the rest of the students there?” Kristina asked willing to answer her own question if redirected to her. Even through she looked like an adult Kristina still had her childish moments, being only 17 you’re allowed to be right?

Nevaeh smiled and said "Yes i never fit in.. i was the shy one, and now im known worse as the one who will sure as look at you hurt you" she said to Kris. "It was because i was trying to protect the school, and some kids were trying to help me, i kept yelling at them to leave that it wasn't safe, this was the first attack on the school with flamjelous, when he was trying to get to me, but only it wasn't him it was someone else" she said remembering the day it happened. "i'll take you back to when i first moved to the school, i didn't know of all of my powers like being an Elemental, all i knew was that i could move the earth and i could use it as a protective shield, and i was an artic fox. Most students dont have an animagus untill like their third year, and i had mine as a first year, or well before that. I was with my mother on a business trip in Alaska a long time ago, and i got lost because it was the durring the time of the race of to see who was the best of the sled dogs, well i wanted to see it, and my mom didn't have time so i went off along, and got lost. I knew i was going to either die, or someone was going to find me. Well i walked untill i could walk anymore, and the next thing i know im running on four legs and i have better sight and smell, and i have a tail, and paws. Thanks to the artic fox im alive today or well i'm not missing some limbs because of frost bite." she said to her and sighed. "So when i moved here i had some feeling that i wouldn't fit in, because i had been known as a freak and i would be known as a freak." she said and looked at Kris. "You left Hogwarts too" she looked and smiled "Why did you leave, i know its suposed to be about me, but why did you leave" she asked and took a drink of her water.

Kristina listened and felt that her story was quite different then she had expected and nearly the opposite of Kristina’s situation. It was about her powers and the things she could do, not to mention the fact that she would be looked at as some sort of freak by fellow classmates. Kristina knew that feeling well, descended from Tom Riddle never made a good cup of tea. When she asked about her leaving school Kristina looked around for a moment, “Well, I have to say you have far better reasoning.” She said taking a drink of her water before continuing.
“I have never been one to like magic in any shape, and I am sure if you ever read my column you would see how I am a bit prejudice about powers at times. However the pull the last straw was that I could not face the professors. Not all of them mind you.” Kristina had to word things just right so they made sense and did not seem as cruel as they had the two years ago she left the school.
“Some of the professors used magic to teach, I understand that but I had a professor give me a piece of a philosopher’s stone, like it was a reward. I could not believe it was even in the school never mind his readiness to hand out some to anyone. I know there is a lot of evil in the world, and I can’t be in a place that has that much power, and so many magical things. It is an odd thing for any witch to say, but magic overwhelms and frightens me.” Kristina said slightly lower in tone, she knew it was not something that should be said, after all she was descendent of a great wizard… evil but great non the less.
“I freaked out and dropped out of school, picked up a job at Hog’s Head and turned my life upside down. I made a lot of wrong choices in between then and now, but it all turned out okay.” Kristina said to her with a smile. “So you are always welcome to talk to someone who has been there, don’t rush into anything, and always be on guard.” She said to her with stern eyes. “Someone is always watching.” She said almost a little fearful. Even though her life had turned out well she was still a bit rough around the edges.
“Anyway, you mentioned Adam Cavan, I took his lessons at the school before he became deputy minister, how did he help you out?” she asked wondering. She had not found a comfort level in Adam during her school time, her fire sprite pestering her all the time, things had been much quieter now that she was on her own.

Nevaeh smiled and looked at Kris, and listened to her story. "Well i didn't completely drop out of hogwarts, Adam is making me stay and take one class, but he really wants me to take more, but i dont want any of the classes, i could pass the owls and Newts, so its not like im worried about failing" she said to her with a smile. "But yes Adam told me that he had a spot opening up in the Improper use of magic, and he told me that i was to think about it, and i did, and when i had my answer Kara had left for her little vacation, so it was Deputy Headmistress Garden, Adam Cavan and I, talking about what would happen for me to start in my position, and i agreed to the terms, even though i really dont care for Defense against the dark arts, but to make adam happy im taking the class and filling in my role at the ministry" she said with a smile on her face. "And i do get to help out on the Murder mystery, which is good, because a new set of eyes can help figure different things out" she said with a smile on her face.

Kristina was one again impressed with Neveah, she was a far better person in her eyes. She did what was right, and had good connections. Kristina listened to her explain about Adam, she had never pictured the professor in his current role, but was actually impressed with the work he was doing, and it took a lot to impress Kristina. “I know what you mean, I am not saying that I was too smart for the school, but the owls and newts are in my opinion rather simple. I considered taking the test, since I never did with my abrupt eave. It is good to still have that connection though, I guess. One class is not bad, and they all freak out about that class, always seem to be the one on their minds.” She said thinking about defense against the dark arts and how the professors always had such high levels of hope for the class even though she was never impressed with the teaching styles.
“A new set of eyes is a good thing. I know you said nothing about the minister, but can you tell me anything off the record? I mean do they have any clue? I have two children to worry about at home, you really see things differently when you have children.” Kristina said with legitimate concerns, her twins where strong and learning fast. And she would accept the no comment line if she had to, and continue on the subject of Neveah herself, since that is why she was there.
“I am sorry, I shouldn’t pry like that. I will go to the next question. About your role at the Ministry, who is it that you will be working on in improper magic?” Kristina asked taking some water, wanting to have a glimmer of hope, but still hold on to the idea of having someone to talk to later on in life, not just for an article.
