With a loud crack a man no one had expected to see again apparated on level one of the ministry. It only took seconds for a few aurors to run to confront the man with their wands drawn pointed right at him. His burning red eyes looked over them men with a musement. He slowly ran his hand through his dark hair. Which was accented only by his snow white skin. "Do you really think it wise to confront me?" It was obviouse that the men were rethinking their decision, by their worried expretions.
The man held up his hands as if surrendering. "I am not here for a confrontation. I am here to speak with my old friend Mr. Cavan. Lower your wands, and their will be no problems." The aurors hesitantly obeyed and lowered their wands to their sides though they did not put them away. The man turned away from them , and walked towards the ministers office. He could here their footsteps behind him as they followed. He could also feel their eyes on his back.
Even without his powers over their minds he could tell how uneasy they were about his presence their. He could tell they assumed that he was their to reclaim his rule over the wizarding world. They could not have been more wrong. He rejoiced over no longer having the responsibility that came with ruling on his shoulders. This meant that he could live life freely as he wanted. He reached the ministers door, and he knocked loudly. He didn't doubt that Adam was expecting him. After all he did turn the grave marker he had been buried beneath to steel to let the people know that he was back.

How Adam had known before anyone that Jack P riddle was in fact not gone, as the young Jack had been so confident about. It was nice to have such an illusion over the people however, as the man was never of good intentions, no matter how many times he tried to convince others he was a good man. Adam was displeased, but not shocked but the tomb stone being steal, and more so had increased his security around places he felt unsafe.
The Ministry, still an easy place for the one whom was former king to enter, and it was simple, Adam knew it would be better if he was entering of free will then bound by strong magic, in which he would fight to enter. His men may have indeed been scared, and even more worried then they appeared to be, however they where trained far better then Jack predicted. Adam had also gained some stronger abilities, and still was only a man, he was very strong of mind and sprit.
“Enter.” He said and the door opened, the man behind the desk was not scared, but far stronger, older looking and somewhat harder then the soft gentle professor he had seen before, the Ministry life indeed had changed him. “Stand down, I will be all right here.” He said to his men, not getting up, however nodding him in was the only welcome. The door closed behind Jack, “What is your business here Mr. Riddle?” Adam said, not referring to his royal status that was soon stripped upon the former ministers take over, Adam had co-signed the ruling.

A small smirk appeared on Jacks face briefly, as he watched the aurors turn away. He entered the office, and was not bothered by the door closing behind him. He moved over to the chair with such grace that it appeared as if he had floated over. He sat down keeping his burning red eyes on the man in front of him. He could already sense more power coming from the man, and he was not surprised. Many things had changed since they had last met on both sides.
Jack moved his hand slowly in front of his face. As it passed by his mouth a lit cigarette apeared in it. It was a habbit he had had before he was sent to Azkaban, and he had picked it up again more recently. It wasn't like smoking was going to kill him so what did he care. He took a few drags of his cigarette remaining silent. He just stared ar the minister as if sizing him up.
He then leaned forward towards the man. "There is no reason to be hostile Adam. You weren't the one to take my kingdom. He has already been handled for me." Jack took another drag of his cigarette. It was more for a moment of silence so what he had just said could sink in than anything else. "Plus I am fine with not having to rule anymore. Since everyone has betrayed me, including my wife, I see no reason for me to protect the people any longer."
Jack wondered what was going through the mans mind. He still had a hard time dealing with people when he couldn't hear their thoughts. His eyes staid on Adams face the entire time never wavering. He knew that it was risky for him coming to the ministry, but he wasn't stupid, and he knew Adam knew it. Then what he had been waiting for came. Everything got very cold, and he could see his breath. A cruel smile spread accross his face. "I am here today to issue you a friendly warning. I don't want any trouble with you so don't come after me my sister or my followers. As long as you let us be we won't have any problems. If you attempt anything you will start a war, and I am sure you don't want that. My dementors are here tonight only to ensure that you do not attempt to arrest me. When I go they will go with me."

Jack had never been a good judge of hostility, for Adam was not hostile as he had said, in fact he was simply a leader, strong and willing to hear things through, like a good leader should. He listened to Jack, his mind not racing but had expected something like this, after all Jack Riddle was a mood change that was waiting to happen. The Ministry is anon smoking facility. would have been a bit hostile, but more on the terms of rude then anything else.
He did not like the idea of how he spoke of the late Minister Farewell. While he was confident that it was not Jack’s work, it was, best to say, classy and Adam had started to suspect a woman was the perpetrator, but that was only speculation. It was all enough to keep him busy, one large case on the plate, that his position would depend on, he could not let the Ministers death become an unsolved murder, however the assailant had done nothing more to give them any leads. This however was not what Jack was there for, his comment was not without intentions.
“A friendly warning, is that?” he said and the room returned to the state it was prior to Jack’s weak attempt to scare Adam, whom had never been one to show fear in the past, only as of late he was becoming more of a general man where emotions did evoke him to act differently. The Dementors where never creatures of loyalty, and for that Adam himself had created, well a dementor repellent. It was not in the general public yet, but the first tests where well received.
“As acting Minister of Magic Mr. Riddle it is my duty to protect these people. Your words and, warning do not give a very altruistic vibe to them, as well as your threat of war, does not settle into a leave me be mind set.” Adam said ,shifting only to fold his hands on this desk, not fidgeting, not ordering his eyes, he looked at Jack, not wanting this confrontation to result in darker or more sinister times, however he could not let this man do what ever he pleased, there was a system in place, and for that rules where to be followed.
Jack seemed to be continually striving for his place in the light, wanting to be in with the important people, and be noticed. It was not simple, and more so Adam knew that it was far past time that Jack Riddle was gone, however simple the answer getting there was far harder. “I do not have the confidence that if you walk out of here today, that you will not take another life, or order a life to be taken from a dedicated follower. What do you have to say, that you should not be arrested? What kind of assurance would the people have that they are not in danger from you?” Adam spoke not like a dictator, or even a negotiator, but more as a college speaking on the subject of if you did it one, you are going to do it again.
Adam knew his men where outside the door, and knew that there was larger numbers the longer they where in there. He also knew that Jack would kill them all if it was in his mind at the moment. Why, the only real question was why he came to Adam? For the young professor was wise before his time, he still was young, and now without a solid grasp on the future as he once had. Being minister was never in the picture.

A cruel smile played accross Jacks face as the minister spoke. After the man had finished he took a final drag of his cigarette before putting it out in the palm of his hand.
"I can not assure you of that Adam, because I fully intend to kill people. I can't assure you that I had nothing to do with the Farewell Masacre. Obviously I have had a way of communicating with others while I was beneath the ground otherwise I wouldn't be here. I can assure you that if you try to arrest me many people will die here tonight. You will have made me an enemy, and that's something you don't want. Also I can assure you that if you do manage to arrest me that I will have escaped before I even had to go to court. I can also promise you that if you ignore my warnings that many innocent people will die in the war that will come."
Jack leaned back in his chair waiting to see how the minister would react. He knew that he probably hit a nerve making the minister suspect him of being involved with the former ministers murder. THough he really had no involvement he wanted the attention turned towards him. He fully planned on finding the true culprit, and assisting them.
He withdrew his wand ready for a fight to start. Little did the minister know while his aurors were running to protect him from Jack that one of his blood cobra's was in the department of mysteries retrieving the file on the Farewell massacre.

It was indeed unfortunate that Jack had to be so confident, for that he was a difficult man. While Adam would have liked to leave it as it was, he simply could not, and he did hope that Jack did not take him as that much of an idiot. War was never a good thing, and never over. A war of good and evil, which was only the core. His lack of assurance was not good, and the fact that he did believe him about his plans would rest uneasy.
“Why then did you bother to come here, if not to start a war?” Adam said simply, for it was clear that the Minister had to make the horrible choice to allow his men to fight and possibly killed or let a crazed man vengeful out into the public, all would agree that containment was ideal, but the cost was being weighed. Jack new that Adam would have such decisions to make, but he was not confused. In Adam’s mind this act was exactly a declaration of war.
What however was indeed the question? What did Jack hope to gain? It was the difficult thing to understand, for his motives where often hidden from himself, never mind others. A mental profile would reveal a confused, sociopath, at least in Adam’s opinion. However Adam knew better than just that, Jack acted in many ways, never one thing here, but more actions around. He knew that this meeting was some sort of distraction, from what however was beyond him for the time being. Adam did not give any hint that he had this in mind however.
“Did you really think that I could simply allow you to walk from the Ministry after admitting plans to murder?” Adam asked him, yes stalling in short of his men working on what Adam had started when the young Jack Riddle had returned to this time. Something that could hold Jack, not permit, however it would provide the best defense against his magic. He was sure that his men would have the positions ready. It would not be a good fight, and it would surly end in life loss, something Adam dearly wanted to prevent.
“Why is it that you feel that you are better, that you can make the choice if someone should live or die? In all respect you should have passed long before my time, and yet you continue for what? To kill innocent people you have deemed a threat?” Perhaps Adam was talking too much, or taking his questions too far, but they where indeed real questions, as he was trying to understand the mind that plagued this land for such a long time.
Then a silent alarm, Department of Mysteries.
“What do you seek in the Department of Mysteries?” Adam asked having made sure that most important files where indeed kept in rare places, or in odd places. Only a few souls knew where the real files where, and they where not talking. It would seem his fishing expedition would have failed, Adam knew that it would not be long before he would discover this and knew that action would soon shift from their words.
Adam still had not drawn his wand, like times in the past he remained calm and confident that he had the situation under control.

Jack didn't react to any of the ministers words. His eyes remained locked on his oponents. He raised his wand so that Adam could see it, and he tapped it lightly on the desk. "I am a strong wizard Mr. Cavan you know that, but perhaps my wand is useless against you. You have quick reflexes, and my most powerful spells take to long to say. The rest you could surely protect yourself from."
His cruel smile widened to let the minister know that he knew what he was up against, and he was unafraid. "I could use my powers over the elements, but then again you are immune." His smile grew wider still. "So what am I to do? Oh my I've left myself completely vulnerable. If only I hadn't used all my powers in front of you." Suddenly Jack's red iris's flared, and the red covered his hole eye's.
"Don't get so comfortable minister. Even my sister doesn't know everything I can do. Don't bother trying to figure me out either. No I can't get inside your head. I don't have to to know that that's one of your thoughts. Many have tried, and none have succeeded, but you know what I'll help you out. All I care about is having some fun whether it hurts others or not. I would be a fool if I didn't play nice every once in a while so that I could get to know those that would appose me."
Jack pocketed his wand, and when his hand returned to the table his finger nails had been replaced with steel claws like a panthers. "You should also stop thinking of me as if I were a man. A man is human, and I haven't been human since I was seventeen." In the blink of an eye Jack had moved from the seat to the corner of the room leaning up against the wall. "I am a vampire, and an old one at that. I can move alot faster than your men, and I am a good bit stronger."
He walked back over to the desk gracefully this time not bothering to sit down. He dug his claws deep into the wood. "If you want to know a little bit more about me you should go look in my old office up on level two." His eyes flared a little. "Thats right I was once an auror. My office is the one that won't open. I placed a charm on it so that it would only open to my key, and there's no way around it." He tossed a small golden key on the table.
"Look in the bottom right drawer. You will find a folder labled J.P.R. In that folder is a large enchanted piece of parchment that has the names of every person I have killed, and the date that I killed them. It also registers new deaths so you will know when I kill again, and who I've killed." Jack had to keep from laughing. That parchment help the names of over a thousand people mainly muggles. They had been killed all throughout history thanks to time travel. Their were people he killed in two hundred b.c." It also had the name Arthur Cavan on their with the date dec. 24th 2011. He knew it had been Adam's grandfather, and he wanted to let him know who had kept his grampa from christmas dinner.

It was indeed odd how Jack acted, but that was the man, or as he wanted to be called, creature he was. Adam still sat in his chair, a fear of death was a fear of the future and he was not going to have that, not as Minister or as a man. While he would fight to protect the day, the lives of others, he also knew that things happen in their due time, destiny was a thing he had learned over time.
Knowing ones powers was not everything, and Adam was not comfortable by any means, but it clearly was conveyed, this making his stance known. It was good that Jack thought he could still over power Adam in some way or another, that he thought that more power, more abilities would make him a stronger adversary, but Adam was one to embrace simple and complex magic, thus knowing much about life also helped too.
“Clearly, It is the question I asked of you, not just a thought.” He said commenting on Jack’s continual reference to mind reading. Reading the mind was indeed an advantage, but a skilled person knew what to do to counter it to be a fault. “I am aware, and so are the men you are so ready to destroy, and for what? Fun you say. Well this is a game, Mr. Riddle is not fun.” Adam said his door had a knock on it.
“A moment please.” He said calmly standing from his seat. “So, since you are so hard to figure out, I will just ask you. Will you come peacefully or will this be a showdown?” Adam said, Jack had o nce arrested him, and he had gone peacefully, and sat in the cell next to the demon known as ice shadow. How much time had passed, and so much had changed from that time. This meeting was not going to run quite as smoothly, he predicted.
“I am aware of the deaths you have caused, your charm was not as strong as you had thought.” Adam said, having used the elements to fashion a key, in order to unlock the door. It took much work and detail, but with proper knowledge of the elements one could work things others would never be able to. It was during his coma state, with Serenity that he learned more about the power he held, and what he could do from the information he gained.
The file had been on the desk the entire time. “Anything else?” Adam said, starting to sound a bit restless of this constant banter that Jack P Riddle often held.

His cruel smile never wavered. The man was to be bull headed as he had expected. Things were about to get ugly. "Perhaps you also found the secret compartment in my desk that has a map of the chamber of secrets. If you had you would have found that there is a room in there labled Lab."
As Jack cpoke his form began to shift. His skin was quickly covered with razor sharp steel fur. It wasn't long before the steel panther stood in front of the minister. "Jetta was only one of my experiments. She was not the first nor was she the last. I use to use them all the time, but it has been a long time since I have called on them."
Then Jack let out a loud hissing noise that was obviously parsel tongue. The ground on which they stood began to shake. "Better close your eyes minister." He spoke in a cruel voice. Screams errupted in the main hall behind them. With a snap of his tail the panther reduced the door to splinters. THen with a loud roar he bounded out into the hall way landing on top of a man With a twitch of his paw he slit the guys throat. He then looked up to see a large basilisk with steel scales.
He was able to look the basilisk in the eye only because this particular snake had a set of clear eyelids that kept the power of it's eyes subdued. The panther made a point to look down as he hissed to the snake to open it's lids. Then what appeared to be two spiked balls rolled past the panther towards the ministers office. They unrolled to show that they were giant steel hedgehogs. They immediatly began shooting spikes off in every direction.

Adam should have known that Jack would now make a show of his strength, well what Jack considered strength, to Adam it was a sad boys attempt at trying to play god. The steel was not frightening, and his parseletonge was not hidden from the well-trained ear, which Adam indeed had. Was Jack so lost he forgot that detail? The disturbing experiments where one thing that many had tried to void, but Jack never let anyone out easy. He always begged for a fight.
Adam was well aware of this too. The only reason Jack came here was to start his war, perhaps some side agendas, but clearly he had no intentions of being, civil…
Oh, how much Jack had lost in such a short time, Adam was smart, and protective of not only his people but the men and women of the ministry that fought to protect him. A mission he desired none to have, but was still honored just the same. “We will see.” Adam said as Jack pounced out of his room, slicing a mans neck, why did he have to use such tactics? He was once again showing his true colors, but Adam knew better then to think this is the end.
A healing charm to the man repaired his neck, but could not replace blood loss. He remained on the ground. As Jack spoke to the beast, Adam gave the order. “B615!” he shouted and the men and women covered their eyes, with fitted glasses, that allowed them to see, but the stare would not kill. It was in the working of reversing the evil, but at the moment could only protect them.
Steal. Jack had felt it was so strong, so powerful. Adam knew that he was focused on such, and knowing that he was not dead took precautions for something just like this, well perhaps not exactly…
Before Adam had left his office Jack sent his, hedgehogs throwing steel. Adam moved his arm up and a shield formed protecting him, his wand behind that shield. He froze the room with a variant freezing charm, and encaged the creatures in his office with a top-notch Ministry cage, made of same materials his shield held.
“Surrender Jack.” He said pointing his wand at the ugly looking panther with steal fur. “Your creatures have weakness, and we have solved them, provided from your very own secretlab.” He said, clearly Jack had not been so smart after all. “You have been tagged.” He said as his Aurors all sent the same spell at the same time, from all angles of the room, only one needed to hit him, and where ever he ran they would find them, It was only time until Jack P Riddle really was no longer a threat to their way of life.

Jack was unable to hide his shock or his anger at the way things turned out. He had not expected that they would have infultrated his lab. This meant that his steel creatures would no longer be of any use to him. In puffs of shadows all three creatures disapeared. They were of no use to him now. He would have to change them lator on.
As the spells were shot off the panther turned into a pool of blood that seeped into the floor. He had not left he had mearly hidden himself from the spells. "It would seem that my old tricks will not work here so I will have to use things that no one has seen me do before." His voice rang out from all around the room.
Shadow creatures began coming out of the wood works. The creatures could reach inside of a person, and stop their heart. They did not attack though they mearly moved about the room. "Meet the tortured souls of those that I have killed. They know nothing, but rage. They seek to take others souls to join them in the world of which they are forced to reside. Call your men off, and I will spare all of them. Refuse, and I will just leave, and they will all die, and you will live to suffer the pain of condemning your people to die."

For every bit of might Jack had to throw at them, Adam seemed to be a step ahead. And indeed he slightly was. He had gotten a inside tip about all of this, they had said they where a seer, and it was all to exact to take for granted, thus the fact that he had this information was mearly because of this tip, and Jack had no idea that it was not entirely true all the things he had said, and that was to their advantage all the same, for yet another step, he had another counter for it.
Adam knew Jack would get away, but he also knew that his men would live, thinks to the tip he had a good idea where it came from. He was not going to press it, because if it was who he thought, that person would not want to be known…
“Shadow Protocol 15” Adam said and they all burst light into the room, creating no place for the shadow creatures to enter. It would not destroy them, no but it protected his men from death or injury. It was only lucky enough that they had been prepared for this nearly three weeks ahead of Jack’s return, Adam was not sure how long they would have before this day would come to pass. And so far it was going to the tee, of the vision he was told about.
It took a lot of work to get this day to run like it was, and he was not over confident as he had been showing. It was indeed a show, not only for his people but for Jack, that he was not going to stand aside and let him run their land into the ground. “Jack your time has passed let it go, and avoid this nonsense.” Adam said, wanting Jack to have the best outcome, because he understood Jack as a confused boy, not a grown man or creature as he so proudly placed himself in. The sick twisted experiments where unearthly, and should never be toyed with, but Adam was fully aware that this would not be the last time he encountered with Jack.

Before Jack had a chance to react an elderly looking man stepped off of the elevater onto level one. "Expecto Malus." The man said, and with an angry growl Jack, and his creatures were gone. The old man chuckled slightly. "You know at the senate of sorcery we had that charm in place to keep out those with malicous intentions for years. I guess you guys just haven't gotten around to it yet."
The man may have sounded as if he were mocking them, but his face was expressing nothing but kindness. He gestured with his head to the badge on his shoulder to show that he was a member of the U.S. Senate of Sorcery. "Minister Cavan I am Senator Freeman, but you may call me Al. I have come here from America to speak to you about urgent matters that could not be handled through post."
The old man looked around at all of the aurors who had just been doing battle with a powerful evil creature. The senator knew exactly who it had been, and what he was capable of. It was the very reason why he had come to the U.K. The people here had no idea what they were dealing with or how to handle it no matter how much they thought they did. The old man knew it was not their fault for Jack Riddle was a rare creature that the senate had only just come to understand. The man turned back to Adam. "Is there some place we can speak in private."

Adam had known little more of the progression of events, though he was still a man that followed his word, and thus continued out with the actions stated in the prophecy the seer had given him. Jack will escape, but not by his own free hand, an old man will help. He will ask to talk, listen. That was the last bit of the tip that a woman’s voice sent over the telephone lines to his home. And so he looked at his men, “Stand down men, Get yourselves together, and help out, the threat has been removed at current.” He said not checking but knowing a strange kind of thing for a minister, a weakness that could undo him, a man of fate and destiny, with none of his own he was also a lost man. Men and women got together, helped any injured in the fight, and removed a few of the protections they had worn during the fight. “This way Senator, I was expecting you.” Adam said, not knowing who was coming but that someone was, and it was more then advisable to speak with him he took him to his office, that Adam waved back into its clean and neat state, the file on his desk, the one Jack had seen, or not was gone, it was in fact an illusion for they had not really gotten all the information he gave the impression we had. “Have a seat, Al, you said? Please call me Adam.” He said. “Now what is it that could not be handled by post? Must be of important business.” Adam said acting as if no fight had happened, he was calm and relaxed, for all his men where alive, the one threat in his mind was what Jack would do next…

The old man followed Adam into the office. He took a seat, and watched the minister. "That is correct it is Al. It ais a pleasure to meet you Adam. I have to admith that I am disapointed. I had hoped you were on good terms with Mr. Riddle, but it would seem that I have been sadly mistaken. I am here because of Jack Riddle. The senate has been investigating him intently since he first made the newspapers. Though most of us felt it was a waste of time. I regret to say that even I believed him to be a lost cause. It was a senator of ours who is actually a local hero of yours Kevin Phoenix that has been pushing the subject." The man with drew his wand. "I will show you a memory that we at the ministry were shown years ago. The Jack Riddle the world knows is a selfish, and cruel man obsessed with power, and immortality. That is the way we have seen it, and that is how we have accepted it. With no evidence to show otherwise why would we doubt it. Well this memory of Senator Phoenix's shows a completely different person than the world knows." The man turned to the wall Adam was facing, and with a flick of his wand it seemed to turn into a movie screen. It would have been obviouse to any one who had ever entered the chamber of secrets that this was in the main chamber. A teenage boy was kneeling beside an injured girl of about the same age. His wand held out shakily fear evident in his eyes. Another teenage girl was on the ground behind them obviously terrified. A wizard with a skull mask advanced on them. At the wizards side was a witch that any one in the U.K. could identify as Maika Spite Blacknight. The pair laughed cruely at the teenagers. "You may have escaped us at Graplock Phoenix, but today you and your friends will die." The wizard said in a dark deep voice. He raised his wand, and said the most feared words a wizard could hear. "Avad Kedavra" The spell hadn't even been finished when an unseen person procured another. "Protego" The curse was deflected barely missing the wizard who had cast it.
A teenage boy with platinum blonde hair, and startling blue eyes walked out of the shadows, and stood in between the other teenagers, and the death eaters. Shock was evident on every face other than the new comers. Though this boy was young it was obviouse that he was confident facing the death eaters. "Out of the way Jack this does not concern you." Maika said to him regaining her composure. Jack never even flinched. It was easy to tell that he was worried, but still some how confident. "Your wrong mother. This does concern me. They are my friends, and if you want to kill them then you'll have to kill me first." Again shock was evident on the others faces. The man in the skull mask raised his wand again pointing it at Jack. "Boy I don't want to do this, but if you don't move I won't have any other choice." The man growled angrily.
"You mess with my brother you mess with me." Another unseen person said. Then the unmistacable Lizabeth Riddle came out of the shadow to stand next to her brother. Kevin Phoenix got up off of the floor, and he walked over to join them. Now with three wands pointed at them the death eaters weree obviously rethinking their plans. "You may have one this time, but you will all pay." He glared at Jack, and Liz. "Especially you two for your betrayel." With that the pair turned, and left. Jack left Kevin, and Liz staring after them. He ran over, and scooped the injured girl up in his arms. He looked to the other girl. "Dove everythings going to be okay. Now come on." He looked to the girl in his arms. "You'll be okay Claire I won't let anything happen to you." The scene disappeared and the wall returned to normal. The man turned back to look at the minister. "Adam that boy was Jack Riddle a month after he moved here. He was seventeen at the time. He had also only killed one person at that point in time. The person he killed was a death eater that threatened him when he was six. He was only six years old, and he picked up his fathers wand, and said the words his father had said many times before. That is the real Jack Riddle a person that few still living knew. We have seen many memories of Kevin Phoenix's of Jack Riddle as well as the memories of others. Jack Riddle is not a killer. He didn't start killing until a week after he had been turned into a vampire. It was then that his eyes went from blue to red." The man waved his wand again, and a glass of water appeared on the desk in front of him. He took a sip of the water then put the glass back down. "It is no secret that the greatest protector of the innocent could be turned into a vampire, and become their greatest tormentor. No one knew exactly why, but in our research we found out. When a person is turned into a vampire their soul dies. With it they loose their compassion, their guilt, their love, their honor, and their mercy. They are left with nothing but rage, hate, anger, and lust. Jack is different though isn't he. Every now and then he seems to feel guilty about his crimes. Sometimes it seems as if he loves a person. This was a fact pointed out to us in Kevins memories." The man smiled as he leaned forward. "A question that has vexed many. Why is Jack Riddle the way he is. Well we finaly have an answer. Jack is a rare creature. As far as we know there has only been one like him before. A vampire in america that died well over a hundred years ago. Her name was Dreama Little. She was turned in the early eighth century. She was killed in the early sixteenth century. Eighty years after she died a vampire that she had created found a way to resurect her. Bringing a person back to life is a difficult deed. To bring a vampire back to life it is far more complexed. When she came back it didn't take the other vampire long to notice that she was different. She suddenly had feelings. The vampire consulted with ancient beings, and they told him that when he brought her back he had not only brought back the vampire, but also the soul that had inhabbited the body so many years ago." The old man paused to let this information seep in. "Jack Riddle is at war with himself without even realising it. The vampire is in control most of the time, but certain people have brought the soul to power just by being around him. The vampire Dreama was set free of that very war by an old spell that is meant to seperate a possessed person from thier demon. The difference is that they expelled the soul from her body, we plan expelling the vampire from Jacks, but to do it we will need to get a person who can bring out his soul, and he has to trust them." He pulled a piece of parchment out of his pocket, and put it on the desk. Dovesary Aemeson (love interest)

The names that have been crossed off are those that have died since the list was made. Those with stars next to them are the ones who always bring out his soul. We need you to get a hold of one of them, and have them come help."
