This school year a lot of you have wrote in for advice. Some on the small things, and very common concerns of what if… Don’t worry! If you fret over every missed pen, or forgotten sock you are going to have a very hard year. Odds are your roommate, or housemate will be able to give you something if you are in dire need, and the Head of House always goes out of the way to give a helping hand. (Well, not really all the houses…) With that in mind I should dive into the bigger questions that you have been asking.
The new deputy Headmistress hit or miss?
This question has come in so many forms and variations that I had to address it right off the bat. Professor Aramay Garden will be the new deputy headmistress, and taking up defense against the dark arts. The class position itself has it’s own history. For many years students had different professors all the time. And the last to hold it’s seat was none other then King Jack. So my thoughts? Give her a chance, her credentials are there, she has traveled the world helping many people understand and fight dark arts. Headmistress Malfoy accepted her into the position, so she should be good right?
Well, I don’t know, and will not find out first hand. No longer a student, but rather a full time mommy to two toddlers is enough for me. However I worry about what powers she will bring to the table, where her alliances are, and why did she change from such a open lifestyle to a closed dark castle.
My Advice? –
Get to the point already!
Professors are there to protect the students. Don’t jump to conclusions on the first day, that will get you into trouble. Relax and maybe you will learn something. We all learn differently and teachers teach differently. It is important to take it all in, then make your own judgments. There is nothing wrong with keeping up your guard if you want to, but remember at some point you will have to let someone in. Some advice I should take myself.
