Dear reader (So many Questions, Yet no answers for them),
It is hard for anyone to be new, and a school like Hogwarts is even harder. We all feel like we have something that makes us different, harder to understand but the main key is that we are all in this world together. These days I can’t say we are all human, and I am sure that you know why, however it does not have the same ring when you say we are all humanoid… dose it?
What ever is plaguing you, be it physical or mental be sure that nothing is impossible. Your letter sparked interest with me, I relate to you in many ways. I used to feel like my magic was a disorder that I could not get rid of, but what I found out is that you have to embrace what is in you, not run or reject it. Whatever it may be, it is a part of you, and who would you be without it? I believe that there has to be a reason behind everything, you just have to hold out long enough to see it.
As for a huge family… I know that well too. I am not going to give you the traditional sorrow that you generally get with a story like yours. However what I am going to tell you is that what ever happened in the past does not make you and better or worse. You cannot control anyone else other then yourself, so don’t bend to someone else’s idea of right.
I am the center child for a family that has been in the bad side of things. Great things, evil things, and terrible things my family name has proved to give over the years. I compare being a Riddle like being a volcano; everyone is just waiting to see when you will erupt. I am not perfect, I have a temper like death itself, but I also am a person just like anyone else.
My Advice? –
Lets sum this up shall we?!
Give it a chance to play out. Family is hard, even more so when you don’t know them. However blood relation is not the only kind of family. Branch out, find yourself and make friends at this new school, this new adventure. True family accepts you no matter what, and will not try to change you into something you are not. Don’t rush into things, good things take time to get right, and have a lot of hiccups along the way. If after a fair amount of time (I would say give it at least 6 months) then make up your mind t the family. I ran away from my family, it was hard but necessary for me to learn what it meant. Perhaps it is time that you do the opposite, unfortunately there is no happiness without a little bit of tears along the way.
Yours truly,
Kristina Riddle
