LONDON-Minister Farewell was found killed, with his wife and two daughters. Here is no leads on to who or why this horrible act was committed, Deputy Minister Cavan is working non stop to find the culprit, or culprits. The minister and his family were found early Tuesday morning, the crime committed the night before. The scene was by no means easy on the eyes, and the ministry has locked up photos pertaining to the crime, for the protection of the minister as well as to protect younger eyes.
Minister Farewell had been working for the ministry prior to Jack P. Riddle’s overtake, and had been trying to regain the ministry’s hold ever since. Once Riddle left, (reasons still under investigation) he took charge and pulled the ministry back together with the help of a very wise young professor Adam Cavan by his side. The Ministry was running smooth, and everything seemed to be back at its high status it once been, no wars, and crimes had been down since the last year. However the minister still made enemies.
In his two months as Minister he passed three articles, that are under investigation to see if they had possible motive within them. The Muggle Housing Act; which provided local housing to students with muggle families near the school during holidays. It also introduced the muggle’s to the magical community, as an outreach program to slowly involve family’s with their students. The Magical Object Registration Reform; which changed current laws to require all magical objects be reported to the ministry, and finally, Wand Registration; which required all wizards to fill out their wand information to the ministry, their wands would be cross referenced with other wizards and assure that wands were with their rightful owner.
However the Ministry has been looking at the family as well. Megan Farewell (6-8-70 - 7-13-09) was known to many, she was a muggle, no magical lineage but worked with wizards. She did not seem to have any enemies. Amber (4-4-2000 - 7-13-09)Farewell, only 9 years old was young and a very bright witch, showing her abilities very early in life. And last Janet Farewell (2-15-95 - 7-13-09) a Gryffindor student at Hogwarts school hits the hearts of many students. A quidditch chaser, bright student who had top grades, and looked to pursue a career in the ministry after school.
The house was left shambles, no killing curse used but a series of very dark magic’s that many ministry officials haven’t seen since the time of Voldemort. The Ministry has asked Hogwarts school to keep the Minister and his family in their hearts and if anyone has information they are to contact Deputy Minister Cavan personally. “All information will be looked at, and no shred of idea will be neglected. We take this very seriously, so soon after our world has returned to a safe place does such a wild and disastrous act takes place. Currently we cannot foresee any more crimes, it appears to be a targeted attack on the Minister. We still advise all residents to be cautious until the perpetrator has been captured.” Deputy Minister Adam Cavan said in a statement early Wednesday morning.
The ministry has also declared the massacre in Paris, France early this month was unrelated in nature. The city is well on its way to being repaired with the aid of many muggle and wizard folk. While it is clearly magical in nature the ministry has declared to the muggle world that it was the event of a very strong solar flare, this took much magic to convince however, as it would seem the ministry has its hands full as they work closely with the French government.
